RECERTIFICATION: WHO'S DUE AND WHEN

CHMMs who were certified or recertified in 1998 are due to submit recertification assessment forms and documentation for the years 1999 through 2003.  Due dates are:

            For CHMMs whose last names begin with A-L . . . . . March 15, 2004

For CHMMs whose last names begin with M-Z  . . . . .
August 15, 2004

To be recertified, diplomates must demonstrate activities and achievements accruing at least seventeen (17) certification maintenance points (CMPs), and must be current with annual maintenance fees. (For more information, see the Recertification section of this site.)

If you were certified or last recertified before 1997 and have not filed your recertification packet by the deadline, nor made arrangements for an extension, please contact us

If you are overdue for recertification and have not made special arrangements, your CHMM credential may be revoked.

Diplomates are reminded of the continuing professional development requirement that was adopted to conform to accreditation standards of the Council of Engineering and Scientific Specialty Boards (CESB). This requirement mandating that 1.25 CMPs be earned annually in the area of professional development/ continuing education is in effect from 1998 onward, and is not retroactive to the previous years in your recertification cycle.  We are mindful of the cyclical nature of the industry and the fluctuating levels of opportunity for CHMMs to participate in professional development activities.  If you have concerns about meeting these requirements, please contact Recertification Coordinator Toby Kahn.

REMINDER: Failure to recertify in a timely manner endangers your certification.  If you are past due for recertification, please contact us immediately.
